The thing about, "if you can travel back in time to 1889 to kill baby Hitler" is dumb. If you can travel to 1889, you can travel to 1888 and SAVE a life, and it would have the same effect. If Friedrich III hadn't died at a fairly early age in 1888, his son, Wilhelm II wouldn't have come to the throne at 29 years old. Friedrich living to a ripe old age arguably would have spared Europe WWI. With no WWI, no Versailles Treaty, No Hitler in power * shrug*

I like to imagine THAT history, with Hitler living out his wretched little life as an obscure penniless painter. And no babies have to die.

Why would I kill baby Hitler? If I'm poised to kill baby Hitler, I'm equally poised to take baby Hitler and place him with a nice, preferably Jewish, foster family that wouldn't beat him and would provide him with plenty of good art lessons and lots of positive feedback and love. Or I could just interrupt his conception with a few well-timed knocks on the door.
